What is the Great British Insulation Scheme?
The Government’s initiative known as the Great British Insulation Scheme focuses on enhancing the insulation of residential properties. It operates in conjunction with another governmental program dedicated to energy efficiency, namely ECO4.
Residences that are prone to drafts experience rapid heat loss, leading to higher expenses to maintain warmth. According to certain reports, housing in the UK ranks among the least energy-efficient in Europe. This fresh initiative, backed by a budget exceeding £1 billion, aims to provide support to approximately 300,000 households across the nation, assisting with the expenses associated with the installation of new home insulation.
If you qualify for insulation under this scheme, you may be eligible to receive it at no cost or at a reduced expense. The extent of this benefit will hinge on the specific insulation requirements of your dwelling and its structural characteristics.

Do I need to be receiving Benefits?
No, the scheme is open to all in the UK, regardless of whether they receive benefits.
What is my home's EPC rating?
If you have a current Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) then you can check it via the UK government website.
If your certificate has expired or you do not have one, you can contact us directly to carry out a survey to provide you with one.
What is my home's council tax band?

How long will the process take?
Again, the time that home insulation takes depends on whether you choose to handle the installation yourself or trust our fully accredited installation experts to take care of your home’s insulation needs. With expert installation from Eco Systems, installation of an average loft can be finished inside half a day, whereas, if you choose to install your loft insulation – this could become an entire weekend job! Is the scheme available for social housing properties?
The government introduced the ECO3 (Energy Company Obligation) scheme which means that energy suppliers must promote the installation of energy-saving measures for your home. Under the ECO scheme, you could have the complete cost of home insulation covered by a grant – providing you meet the criteria for the ECO scheme by being on certain benefits and are recommended by your local authority.
